Theme customization means we work with an existing Shopify theme modifying its code, design, and sections to match your requirements. A full custom shopify theme development build means we develop a Shopify theme from scratch using Shopify's Dawn framework or a custom architecture, with no base theme constraints. Custom builds take longer and cost more, but give you complete design freedom. We'll recommend the right approach based on your needs and budget.
We work with all Shopify themes both free themes (Dawn, Refresh, Craft, Sense, etc.) and premium themes from the Shopify Theme Store (Impulse, Prestige, Symmetry, Focal, etc.). We also work with themes purchased from third-party marketplaces like ThemeForest. If you're not sure which theme to use, we'll help you choose one before we start.
It depends on the nature of the changes. Minor customizations using standard Shopify practices typically don't affect theme support. However, if we make significant code changes, the original theme developer may not support those modified areas. We always work on a duplicated theme; your original remains untouched as a backup.
Yes and we make sure of this. We build custom sections in a way that's editable through Shopify's theme editor wherever possible. We also provide a walkthrough after completion so you know how to make day-to-day changes without touching any code.
Yes. All our theme work is built for Shopify Online Store 2.0, which introduced the section and block system that gives you much more flexibility through the theme editor. If you're on an older legacy theme, we'll advise you on whether migrating to a 2.0 theme makes sense.
Yes. If you or your designer has created mockups in Figma, Adobe XD, or any other design tool, we'll build it out as a Shopify-compatible theme or set of custom sections. Pixel-perfect implementation is something we take seriously.
Standard Shopify plans have limited checkout customization options; you can add a logo and adjust colors, but structural changes are restricted. On Shopify Plus, you get access to Checkout Extensibility features, which allow for more significant customizations. A typical project takes 2-4 weeks depending on scope. Minor changes (color scheme, fonts, some section adjustments) can be done in a few days. A comprehensive redesign of all core pages with custom sections can take 3-6 weeks. We'll scope it clearly before starting.
