The Brief

A community-first brand stuck in a catalogue-style store.

Willow Boutique had already done the hard part they'd built a genuine community. Viral products, a loyal following across TikTok and Instagram, live shopping sessions, and an ambassador network that most brands can only dream about. But the Shopify store wasn't built to hold all of that. Navigation buried trending drops, the mobile experience felt like an afterthought, and their conversion numbers didn't reflect the excitement their audience actually had. They needed a store that kept pace with how fast they were moving.

The Approach

Designed for the drop, not the catalogue.

Willow's customers don't browse; they chase drops. The Fiona Flares trend wouldn't wait for a slow-loading collection page, and neither would their buyers. We restructured the entire navigation around how Willow's audience actually shops: trending first, new arrivals surfaced immediately, and collection pages built to handle spikes in traffic when something goes viral. Every category entry point was tested on mobile before it was touched on desktop, because for Willow, mobile isn't a second screen it's the only screen that matters.

Beyond the storefront

Built for community, not just commerce.

Willow isn't just a store, it's a place where live shopping sessions sell out in minutes, subscription boxes ship every month, and ambassadors drive real referral volume. The redesign had to account for all of it. We integrated the live shopping flow cleanly into the site architecture, built landing structures that could support ongoing loyalty and rewards touchpoints, and optimised the checkout to reduce abandonment at the exact moment high-traffic drops create the most pressure. The store now works as hard as the community that fills it.

FROM THE CLIENT

"We had the community. We had the products. We just needed a store that could finally keep up. Proactivo built exactly that and then some. Our launch week was the biggest week we'd ever had, and the numbers have only held from there."
