Most migrations break
more than they fix.

A platform switch touches everything. Product data, URL structure, customer accounts, app integrations,
and years of search rankings. Get any one of these wrong and you are rebuilding traffic and
revenue you already earned, not just a new storefront.

FAQ’s

Everything you want to know about our migration service
before booking a call.

Yes. Order history migration is something we handle carefully. We import past orders into Shopify so you have a complete record of your business history in one place. While Shopify doesn't always allow editing historical orders the same way as native Shopify orders, the data will be there for your records and reporting.

Not if the migration is done correctly. The key is setting up proper 301 redirects from your old URLs to the new Shopify URLs. We audit every important page, map the redirects, and monitor search performance after go-live. A well-executed shopify migration should have zero impact on your rankings and in many cases, moving to a faster, better-structured Shopify store actually improves them.

It depends on the size of your store and the complexity of your current platform. A small WooCommerce store with a few hundred products can typically be migrated in 2-3 weeks. A larger Magento store with thousands of products, complex integrations, and custom functionality can take 6-10 weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline after reviewing your current setup.

We run the migration in parallel and your existing store stays live throughout the entire process. We only perform the DNS cutover (the switch to Shopify) once everything is tested and ready. The actual switchover typically takes just a few minutes, during which the site may briefly be unavailable, and we schedule this during low-traffic hours.

Yes, in most cases. If you're currently using a compatible reviews platform (like Yotpo, Stamped, or even WooCommerce's native reviews), we can migrate your reviews to a Shopify reviews app. The exact process depends on your current platform and which review app you'd like to use on Shopify.

For security reasons, customer passwords cannot be migrated. This is a platform-level limitation; password hashes from other platforms are incompatible with Shopify's authentication system. After migration, customers will receive an email to set a new password for your Shopify store. We handle the communication setup for this.

Yes. We map your existing category and subcategory structure to Shopify's Collections system. Shopify handles categories differently than most platforms, but we structure your collections in a way that preserves the navigation hierarchy your customers are used to.

Absolutely. As a Shopify Partner, we build your migrated store in a development environment first. You can review everything design, products, pages, navigation before we point your domain to Shopify. Nothing goes live until you're satisfied.

Custom functionality is the most complex part of any migration. We audit your existing custom features, identify what can be replicated with Shopify apps, what needs custom development on Shopify, and what might not be feasible to port over directly. We're transparent about this upfront so there are no surprises.

We monitor the store closely immediately after go-live and stay available for the first 48-72 hours to address any issues. Most post-launch issues are minor and quickly resolved. We also keep a backup of your original store data so we can reference it if needed.

We take multiple backups of your existing store data before starting anything. Our migration process is tested in a staging environment before it touches your live data. Data loss is extremely rare when migrations are done methodically, and our process is built around minimizing that risk.
