A Slow Store Is
A Leaking Bucket

You can spend on ads, influencers, and email campaigns, but none of it matters if your store loses buyers
before the page finishes loading. Speed isn't a technical detail tucked away in a settings panel. It is one
of the strongest predictors of whether a visitor becomes a customer, and most Shopify stores are losing
revenue to it every single day without realizing it.

Everything Included In
Our Speed Service

Every deliverable here exists because it moves a real performance number, not
because it pads a proposal. This is what we actually do to make your store faster.

Full Performance Audit and Baseline

We run your store through Google Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and GTmetrix to measure Core Web Vitals across every key page before we touch anything.

01

Image Optimization at Scale

Images are almost always the biggest culprit. We compress, convert to next-gen formats, and implement lazy loading so below-the-fold content only loads when needed.

02

App Audit and Dead Weight Removal

Every installed app evaluated for necessity and performance cost. Apps loading scripts where they are not needed get reconfigured or removed.

03

JavaScript and CSS Optimization

We defer non-critical scripts, eliminate render-blocking code, and minify both JavaScript and CSS files. Custom code from previous developers gets audited and cleaned up.

04

Liquid Code and Server Response Optimization

Inefficient Liquid loops quietly slow down server response times. We fix the bottlenecks and reduce Time to First Byte so pages start rendering faster.

05

Before and After Reporting

Once the work is done, we re-run all performance tests and hand you a clear before and after comparison showing exactly what improved and by how much.

A Google Lighthouse score above 70 for Performance on mobile is a solid target for most Shopify stores. Getting to 90+ is possible but increasingly difficult as you add apps and third-party integrations. We focus on Core Web Vitals (LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1) as the metrics that actually impact both user experience and Google rankings.

Core Web Vitals are Google's set of real-world performance metrics Largest Contentful Paint (how fast your main content loads), Interaction to Next Paint (how quickly your page responds to clicks), and Cumulative Layout Shift (how stable your layout is as it loads). Google uses these as ranking signals, meaning a store with good scores has a direct SEO advantage. They also directly correspond to user experience.

This varies significantly based on your starting point. Stores with very poor scores (under 30 on Lighthouse mobile) often see dramatic improvements doubling or tripling their score. Stores already in the 50-60 range see moderate improvements. We'll give you a realistic expectation after the audit rather than promising arbitrary numbers.

We always work in a staging environment and test thoroughly before applying any changes to your live store. Our changes go through a QA process covering all major pages, checkout flow, and app functionality. We don't push anything live that hasn't been tested.

Not necessarily all of them. Some apps are worth the performance cost because of the business value they provide. We take a practical approach identifying apps that have an outsized performance impact for limited benefit and flagging them for removal or replacement. You make the final call on what stays.

Every app that loads JavaScript on your storefront adds to your page weight and potentially blocks rendering. There's no magic number: a well-coded app has minimal impact while a poorly coded one can significantly slow your store. We evaluate apps individually rather than applying a blanket rule. Generally speaking, fewer, more intentional app choices are better.

Yes. We work with stores built by other developers or agencies all the time. We audit the codebase, identify issues, and make targeted improvements. We don't require you to have used us for the original build.

Yes. We document baseline scores and post-optimization scores across multiple tools Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and WebPageTest. You'll see a clear, visual comparison of your store's performance before and after our work.
